Shotgun Season Open

Shotgun season for deer opens December 1st, 2009.  Hunters may harvest deer from 30 minutes before sunrise until 30 minutes after sunset.  It is not uncommon to hear gunfire during this season.  Hunting is a necessary aspect of healthy deer management in the Commonwealth.  Harassing hunters is against the law.
